Grammar Jenga
Materials: Get a traditional jenga game, tape & a sharpie
1. write your vocabulary words on the tape and then tape them to one side of the block. I used previous chapter words as well to fill all the blocks.
2. Set up the Jenga tower and have students take turns using one finger to push blocks out of the tower.
3. When they get a block, they return to their seat and write the vocabulary word in a sentence, using correct grammar. This can be modified any many ways. (You could have advanced English students write a story using the word or sentence starters on the block, you can write verbs on the blocks and have students act out the verbs, etc)
4. If someone knocks the tower down, they get a point on the board. The student with the least amount of point at the end wins.
5. Students read their sentences out loud when they are done and turn them into the teacher.
-Words can be changed for each lesson by taking the tape off
